AVOID THIS DVD - CAUSES PROBLEMSI have spent the last week working with tech support for my DVD burner and Adobe Premiere Elements. I received nothing but error messages when attempting to burn a DVD. A tech support person at Pacific Digital told me that Memorex is know to be quirky and may cause burning errors. He suggested that I try Verbatim. I did so and instantly a weeks worth of frustration was corrected (I could burn DVDs!) Avoid this product and buy either Sony or Verbatim instead!
bad disk rate of 20%I purchased a 50 pack of dvd-r and 10 of them were bad - could not record on them by either of the dvd recorsing applications that i use.
Bad spindlesI've ordered Numerous Memorex DVDs before without a problem but these DVD+R - at least my spindles - have not burned well at all. I would say 80% are not recordable. I have used other DVD+Rs since so I know it's not a software/hardware issue. It's possible I just got a bad spindle...but thought you all should know in case it's a trend.
Bad... bad... bad...I bought 50 DVD spindle. Used them all with no problem. Once tried to see the movies they all started freezing 1/2 way. I called my friend and he had the same problem. It looks like I have to turn off the DVD player for about 15 minutes and wait for the DVD temperature to cool down. The normal heat generated from the DVD player is affecting the DVD disks. Once I do that, it works fine. Unfortunately I already bought another 100 spindle from Best Buy, but these were worse, I recorded with no problem but it froze all together once tried to watch the movie. I tried 5 disks with same result. I returned them with full refund. I used generic DVD from Staples and worked great. I transfered some DVD's and they worked fine. I'm using Philips now on NEC DVD burner and they worked great. After doing some research and reading some reviews on chat lines I found that a lot of people having the same problem. One person said that Memorex use the cheapest die for thier DVD's. Please be aware, they might burn fine but when you need to retrieve the data is were you'll have the problem.
Decent DVD+R at a reasonable price!Tested out with data burning only at 8x. 12x should be fine with NEC 54XX MODEL. 8x-12x Not so good with Sony Burners though.
Does not work!!!I have a Dell Dimension 4700 with NEC ND-3100 DVD+R recorder and it does not record on Memorex but does well on Verbatim .I dont recomend this midia.
GOOD DEALTHESE DVR'S DO THE JOB FOR A LOT LESS MONEY THAN OTHER BRANDS.
Great Pruduct, quick shipping A+++++++++++++I would recommend this item and the seller to anyone who wants a quality product for less and fast shipping for less.I will continue to buy from this seller for a very long time.
It is Moser Baer MBIPG101R04 8X +RThe quality is about the same as CMC Mag R03 8X +R, not worth 60 cents a piece.
Memorex 4.7GB 8x DVD+R (50-Pack Spindle)I have not had any recording errors using these blanks. I have used cheaper ones, but when you throw away 20%, they're not cheaper anymore.
I use a 2x HP DVD writer and these disks are speed backward compatable. Just remember to upgrade to the newest firmware release.
4 star rating. Excellent product
