Unlike the padded cases that are available this one is a hard-shell, molded case that is heavy-duty and has a feature I very much like - the post that holds your cymbals in place when they are being moved or stored. The cymbals fit into the hard case with the center holes aligned to the post. When you close the case you secure your cymbals with a wing nut. This keeps the cymbals from sliding around (even if an airline handler tosses this case), as well as providing maximum protection.

What is unbelievable is the low cost of this case (it is priced lower than a lot of competing padded cases), and the quality of construction that characterizes the case. It has heavy rivets, a sturdy handle, and an outside shell that will protect your investment in cymbals.

I carry six of my most precious Avedis Zildjian cymbals in this case (it will hold a few more), and appreciate the fact that it will hold my treasured 22" Avedis Zildjian ride.

If you need a cymbal case I recommend that you go with this one instead of the bag types because this is like a vault.
