Great entry-to-intermediate level hi-hatThis is a newer model of the H70W hi-hat stand I have been using for a few years. Although it is considered to be an entry level stand, it is also more than adequate for gigs - I've used the older H70W configured with 13" Zildjian ZBT cymbals with excellent results.
Pearl has taken the H70W and added some nice features, such as the Eliminator-style footboard, and improved wingnuts (called UltraGrip). The direct drive mechanism is one of the features I liked about the older H70W, and it is still present in this model.
Overall, this is a solid hi-hat stand and the model I use with both my Pearl and Ludwig kits. Highly recommended for beginners and intermediate drummers, or more advanced drummers who are constrained by budget, but who want quality and professional performing gear.
