This is great for the MoneyI recently purchased a cheap lap-steel guitar (Artisan), the pickup was hollow sounding. I didn't want to spend much money on the cheap lap-steel so I decided to try the Duncan Performer Scorcher pickup.
Installation was simple, various wiring diagrams are included with the pickup (as well as mounting hardware).
This pickup sounds very Strat-like and removed all hum. My lap-steel sounds much fuller and richer now, even my girlfriend noticed the difference.
