Positively great all around hi-hatI mostly use 15" Zindjian Master Sound hi-hats (ASIN B0002I6HIO), but got this pair bundled with a high-end Zildjian cymbal pack. I'm extremely impressed with the sound across the full range of hi-hat work, from basic timekeeping to open and closed work. This pair has a wonderful "chick" sound, and in partially open position produces an amazing swoosh when you ride it with 16th notes or triplets. It is cutting when open, making it one of the few hi-hat pairs that will work well with both jazz and rock - and just about any other music genre.
