An excellent guitar for the money!I've owned and played hundreds of guitars and I'm very particular when it comes to sound, workmanship, etc. Because of the low price a not so well-known brand, etc. I was hesitant at first, but once I got this gem I was positively surprised. The neck is fast, the natural has a shiny quality finish top, the resonance and sustain are really great and this guitar also comes with Martin strings. The overall workmanship is really nice and the controls for the preamp are easy to use and they are on top where they are supposed to be. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and I can easily compare this in China made Rogue to a $1,500 brandname guitar, and this Rogue costs a tiny fraction of that. I don't think you can go wrong with this guitar -- you'll be positively surprised just as I was. Although it's a solid dreadnought, the weight is on the light side which I personally prefer. It's simply fun to pick up this guitar and play it. By the way, some of my friends who are professional musicians bought this Rogue as an additional practice guitar, and all of them really enjoy playing it and they're very satisfied. I think it's also the most inexpensive quality Acoustic/Electric out there.
Awesome guitarI ordered through musicians friend. I got the guitar two days earlier than expected which was a nice little surprise.
The guitar itself is absolutely beautiful. The headstock is very nice and the machine pegs are polished and shiny. The strings sit closer to the frets than do most acoustics, making it great for a beginner guitar. The sound is deep and rich. I have not yet tried plugging it into an amplifier yet, so I cannot rate that. The package comes with the guitar and martin strings which are already strung..but I did not know it came with an amp cord, battery, and "L" tool. I got it mainly because it is cutaway, the price is insanely low for the great quality, and it is electric. Anyone who needs a cheap yet extremely well made acoustic should buy this. Also highly recommended for beginners.
Great for the moneyI am not a guitar expert but I have owned and played several guitars. This is the best one for the money. Not perfect but good enough. The guitar I received had a dent and a small scratch under the paint, on the front. Also, the low E string buzzes if played as hard as I play with the other guitars because the strings are closer to the fretboard/bridge is lower. But you learn to play around that. (And having strings closer to the fretboard actually makes it a lot easier to play than my other guitars.) Otherwise, everything was great. The sound is good, the neck is smooth, and when plugged into an amp it sounds as good as the $500 electric guitars that my friends have. Probably even better! I would gladly buy it again or recommend it to a friend playing at the beginner/intermediate level.
not long lastingI bought this guitar and it sounded great and was beautiful, but now that I have been playing it for a year, the neck is starting to bend and most of the frets buzz on the 5th frets and don't even work at the 10th. This is a great guitar for the money for a short time and for beginners.
