I agree with the first review; this isn't a "real" guitar, but it is load of fun for the toddler who is into guitars. My newphews (5 yrs) got them and were very exicted about them. One point about this toy is that the "bridge" like a traditional one-- it comes out, so watch out if you have an infant who might find it and decide to give it a chew. Also the tuning keys are easy to turn and thus the strings come out easily. We learned all this in the matter of 1/2 hour of opening the toy. Can't say anything about durability or long term problems yet on this. I'll also say they are very good looking. I'd recommend, especially for the price!

 OK for a two-year-old
My wife got this for our two-year-old son at the same time as she got me a beautiful Takamine acoustic, also from Amazon - she wisely and correctly thought that it would stave off "MY guitar" rages from him if I was playing and he didn't have one to use. The guitar is just the right size for him and he totally loves to strum it and sing. If, however, you're looking for something you can actually play, look elsewhere - it fails to stay in tune even for a few seconds (even though I tightened the heads) and the tuning of the frets is waaaay off. So you can't or don't care to play chords, but if your kid's looking for a nice looking guitar which is fun to strum and which will also hopefully give them a chance to learn to respect and look after an instrument, this is perfect.
