As a public school band director, I cannot stress enough the importance of purchasing a quality instrument. This instrument (and the other instruments made by companies including AustinBazaar, BandNow, and Borg) are of the lowest quality I have ever seen. The instruments seldom work correctly even when they are brand new; after playing only a few times, problems develop with the valves due to poor materials and workmanship. In fact, most music stores and repair shops will not even fix these instruments or take them as a trade. Always purchase a musical instrument from a store that deals exclusively with music or consult your school's director. You and your child deserve better.
