Designed exclusively for the Allies All-Star Beatdown DJ battle, the Stanton SA-5 two-channel battle mixer delivers precise, quick control that responds in an instant during frenzied turntable clashes. The SA-5 includes custom Penny & Giles line faders and cross-faders and a slider-controlled three-band equalizer. Combined, the features both improve handling and make it easier to perform EQ tricks and kills in the midst of a battle. The device is also the first professional battle mixer without a single rotary knob. By employing faders exclusively and positioning the sliders and switches in intuitive, easy-to-reach locations, Stanton has created a mixer that's familiar and comfortable to all DJs regardless of background. Stanton also made sure that the SA-5 sounds as good in the studio as onstage, with quality electronics and whisper-soft operation (less than 92 dBV).Among the other features are a three-position cue select switch (pre-CF, post-CF cue, and master) that lets DJs preview scratches using the cross-fader; optical phono/line switches with locks, reverse, and master output attenuation control for more efficient scratching; and a unique front-panel design that prevents the DJ from accidentally damaging the headphone jack and mixer during battle.
DJs can connect to turntables and other devices through the pair of phono and line inputs, the session input, the mic input, and the professional TRS balanced master outputs. The SA-5 also includes two headphone outputs (1/4- and 1/8-inch) and a headphone mute switch. As with all Stanton products, the SA-5 includes a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
