Unbelievable SoundI purchased an iPod and withing 2 months the ear buds that came with it crackled and sounded terrible. I needed to turn the volume way up to hear anything. I looked for another set of earbuds and decided to purchase these ones.
For the price you will not believe the sound and quality you get. Some reviews state that they fall out of your ears, this does not happen with me, as I have used the correct size flex fits in my ears and they fit snug and secure.
The sound, right down to the little details will surprise you! I can't explain the difference you get with these earbuds. True they are a little costly, but more than worth the cost!
Enjoy.
unpleasantly surprised.....I really want to be objective here but I'm having a hard time finding the strength to do that. I was really excited to take delivery of the E2c's but I sadly have to agree with some of the other reviewers that these headphones do not come close to delivering on what you would expect considering the price you pay for them.
The bass response of the E2's is just non-existent. Pitiful. At first, I thought it was me. I adjusted the EQ settings on my pod, tried different genre of music, changed the earpiece to adjust the fit. Nothing helped. Rap? hip-hop? anything other than classical guitar??! forget it....Clarity in treble frequencies is there, but without the bass/mid's, there is no balance and it sounds like the "hold" music on a telephone call when you hold the receiver away from your ear.
At the end of the day, if you have not bought them from Shure Inc. (as in their own web site) the company will not help you if you're unsatisfied and no one else will let you return headphones once opened.
I don't care if they isolate everything else if this is what I'm stuck listening to.
Thoroughly disappointing. What a drag.
Worth the price!I bought the E2C to replace a set of Sony Fontopia in-ear headphones that fell apart. I thought I was getting a deal with the Sony set, but I was wrong and now wish I got the e2C's first! These earphones fit better than the other brand hands down. I am used to the in-ear fit, so I have no problems with these. The cord is much thicker and overall much better than any I've previously owned. I have experienced no 'stethascope' type effects when moving or hitting the cord. I use these all day long listening to music as I work in a loud 'cube farm' from my PC or iPod. They cut 100% of the telephone and loud co-workers noise around me while still operating at a reasonable listening volume. I just got to wear them on a plane for the first time this weekend and was able to watch a DVD on my laptop with GREAT sound because these cut out the engine noise. As far as the overall sound... awesome. I agreee with all the others... these are supburb for listening without a lot of bass or distortion created by amping the signal. Crystal clear as far as I'm concerned. I've never had a 500 dollar pair in my ears before, so I can't compare to that... and I realize that this pair priced far less than the "real high-end"... but when compared to headphones I would buy at a local department or chain electronics store they are head and shoulders better. The extra money to go the Shure route is worth it in my opinion.
Wow! I didn't know what I had been missing.Alright, I love music more than anyone I know. The apple earbuds did OK for about the first week, but they always made my hears hurt and began to distort soon thereafter.. I saw these on sale and thought I'd give 'em a try. GLAD I DID! I hear lots of things in the music I have never heard before. They are also very comfortable, and I haven't had any trouble with them sliding out of my ears.
Can't wait to start using these at the gym!
Bottom line, get these! Especially if you already spent lots of money on something like an iPod, at least make it sound as good as it can.
